Nicholas Routhier
President and Chief Executive Officer

Nicholas Routhier is President, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of SENSIO Technologies. For over a decade, he has been providing the strategic direction for the company in an industry that was yet to recognize the mainstream potential of 3D. Driven by his passion for 3D and his desire to see this new form of entertainment succeed, Nicholas acts as an evangelist and catalyzer for the industry, identifying strategic alliances and bringing together different partners to design and build innovative business models.

Prior to founding SENSIO in 1999, Nicholas gained a deep understanding of many different types of business model, as a Strategic Account Manager in the banking sector, aiding companies with their financing plans. His further experiences within the financial sector provided him with insight to the preoccupations and workings of major corporations, the type that constitute SENSIO’s

client base today, and enabled him to develop his strategic thinking skills.

This knowledge and experience, combined with his natural ability to analyze, extrapolate, make

connections, and deduce outcomes, have made Nicholas a recognized 3D visionary. His vision

has enabled him to successfully steer SENSIO for over a decade, through the thin years when 3D was but a twinkle in the eye of today’s major players, seizing even the slightest opportunity to forge ahead. In addition, this same vision, shared through major conferences and bodies such as CES and 3D Biz Ex in the US, CEATEC in Japan, IBC and FMX in Europe and 3DID in Taiwan, has been instrumental in mobilizing key stakeholders to give birth to and nurture the 3D industry.

Nicholas holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from HEC Montreal.

Richard LaBerge
Executive Vice-President and CMO

As the cofounder of the company, Richard LaBerge serves as Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer for SENSIO Technologies. In his role as ambassador, he is responsible for worldwide business development and strategic partnerships. Richard is the instigator of SENSIO’s live 3D events business model and has led the company to many firsts in the industry, including the delivery of the first worldwide live 3D event in cinemas.

Prior to starting up SENSIO in 1999, Richard was Senior Product Manager for the Mouvement des Caisses Populaires Desjardins du Québec (the largest association of credit unions in North America), where he was responsible for developing new financial products and supporting branches in financing emerging-technology companies. He also developed a complete financial package for major franchises and an international services package for export and import.

As a 3D pioneer, Richard often speaks at conferences and on key panels in major broadcasting and consumer electronics tradeshows. He has strong communication and people skills, which have allowed him to connect with an extensive network of opinion leaders throughout the industry, whether Hollywood studios, or broadcasting and distribution trailblazers.

Richard earned a bachelor's degree in Finance and Computer science from Bishop’s University and a master's degree in Finance and Marketing from HEC Montreal and North Carolina University. He serves on the boards of directors of two organizations assisting young entrepreneurs.

Éric Choquette
Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer, Éric Choquette heads the team that supplies the support framework enabling the company to function on a daily basis. Operations, legal, human resources and, not least, finance all come under his aegis. In this role that he has occupied since 2006, after two years as Comptroller at SENSIO, Éric took part actively in the listing of the company on the stock exchange and in the raising of $17.5M of financing from, mainly institutional, investors.

Before joining SENSIO, Éric gained a thorough grounding, focused on technology, with the firm of accountants Gallant, Dupuis, Tremblay, Sauvageau (now Fuller Landau), and with MAX Technologies, a company which develops and markets high-performance software for avionics. His expertise in the field of finance for technology was recognized when he was invited to speak at the RBC Growth Technology Conference in March 2010.

Éric holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM).

Jacques Patry
Vice-President, Engineering

As Vice-President, Engineering, Jacques Patry is responsible for developing concepts into marketable intellectual-property products and providing client support for those products. As Chief Technology Officer at Algolith, his role was very similar, and he embraced the opportunity to extend his experience to the 3D space with SENSIO.

Jacques was part of Algolith’s founding team, building on his experience as design engineer and algorithmic development engineer at Miranda Technologies and ABL, in Canada, and Cirrus Logic in the United States.

Jacques holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a master’s in the same discipline, specializing in signal processing, both from Sherbrooke University in Quebec. He also obtained an MBA from HEC Montreal in 2009, and attended the 10X20 Program in partnership with the MIT Sloan School.

Vice-President, Business Development - Live 3D Market

Vice-President, Business Development – Live 3D, Diana Cantú is responsible for developing the live-3d business unit, from acquisition of premium live-3D content to expansion of the SENSIO® 3D Live Network through the addition of certified cinemas, associate distributors and trusted infrastructure partners. Diana’s previous role as Executive Director, Business Development, at International Datacasting Corporation (IDC) – SENSIO’s long-standing partner for live-3D cinema projection – saw her spearheading growth in the USA and Latin America, with projects in satellite and terrestrial infrastructure for digital cinema, live 3D, IPTV, distance learning, and broadcast radio and television.

Diana majored in Medieval Studies at the University of California Santa Barbara. As well as being a member of the Society of Satellite Professionals International, and of the International 3D Society, she is President Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the Ottawa School of Art. In addition, she actively maintains her blog on “the art, science, culture and business of stereoscopic 3D” – http://planet3d.org/

Marie-Claude Hamelin
Sales Director – Consumer Market

Sales Director – Consumer Market, Marie-Claude Hamelin is in charge of business development with consumer electronics manufacturers. Having first worked for SENSIO from 2001 to 2004, developing and managing distribution of the SENSIO® S3D-100 video processor, and then successfully starting her own event creation company, she agreed to return to SENSIO as the firm began a new phase of development.

Since re-joining the company, Marie-Claude has structured the sales department, as a function of the sales channels she has identified, and has set up a strategic process that takes into account, in negotiations with potential partners, the patents covering our intellectual property, in order to protect it.

Marie-Claude has over 20 years’ experience in sales and consulting in telecommunications and information technology for companies such as Sprint Canada, Cognicase and Galaxia Inc. (subsequently acquired by Dassault Systèmes).
