SENSIO® S2D Switch

The SENSIO S2D Switch enables users to switch viewing mode of a 3D feed from 3D to 2D or between different 3D view modes. It supports the most popular frame-compatible formats covered by HDMI 1.4a and used by service providers supporting 3D today: side-by-side (SbS), top-and-bottom (TaB), checkerboard and SENSIO Hi-Fi 3D.

When a consumer invests in a 3D movie via video-on-demand (VOD), or records content from a subscribed 3D channel on a DVR, or when a broadcast technician needs to more easily process a 3D feed, the SENSIO S2D Switch allows that content to be viewed in either 3D or in 2D.

SENSIO Hi-Fi 3D-encoded content will provide the best-quality restitution when switched to 2D.
